The Gibson Custom Shop Travelling Exhibit.

The exhibit is a 40-foot showroom on wheels, which travels to events around the USA in order to make known to the public its products.

We came across it quite by mistake whilst attending the 2003 Long Beach Grand Prix.

Situated within the exposition, which accompanies the race, the trailer boasted some of Gibson’s finest instruments and also comes equipped with POD stations with headphones, which allow enthusiasts to try out the various Gibson models on display.

We walked in and within seconds I was handed a beautiful Gibson Goldtop for me to try.

Other excellent guitars lined the walls of the trailer such as Les Pauls, SG’s, Es335s, and other classic and historic Gibsons.

An excellent way in which to bring instruments close to the public.
