GSR Guitars Pickguard Designer.

GSR Guitars are a new and innovative supplier of guitar accessories based in the United Kingdom.

Although a young company they have already been praised by the media, culminating in two "Best Buy" awards for GSR Guitars in Total Guitar magazine and Total Guitar Bass Special. They specialise in all kinds of stock accessories and can even produce bespoke items such as the pickguard we are reviewing.

The pickguard designer has been along time project that GSR guitars had commissioned especially for their use by a team of web specialists.

The web software allows one to create custom pickguards, using the available database of custom graphics or even allows you to upload your own photo for a totally custom guard.

Below are some screen shots of the designer using an Epiphone Dot pickguard as an example. In the first screen the user is presented with an easy to use interface. In the second we see the choice of a custom graphic from the right-hand side menu. Finally in the third an image from the user’s hard drive has been uploaded and incorporated into the design software for a totally custom pickguard.

Below is an example of the products produced by GSR which can be ordered through the system which is totally online. It is a black diamond aluminium pickguard, which I have setup ready with pickups, wiring and knobs ready to install into a Stratocaster style guitar.
